Maine GOP Elects New Leadership

AUGUSTA, ME– Maine GOP Chair Dr. Demi Kouzounas released the following statement after today’s Maine GOP State Committee meeting:

“I am so grateful to be re-elected as Chair of the Maine Republican Party, and I am incredibly excited to get to work with our amazing Executive Committee and State Committee,” said Chair Dr. Demi Kouzounas. “I want to congratulate my fellow officers, Shane Reitze (Vice Chair), Benjamin Lombard (Treasurer), and Barbara Harvey (Secretary), on being elected to lead Republicans going into the critical 2022 election cycle.”

“Over the past two years, Republicans have gained great momentum in Maine. With historic wins for Senator Susan Collins and President Trump, and gains in the Maine House, Mainers have made it clear that they want Republican leadership in our state, and we will not stop fighting until we finish turning Maine red. This task can not be completed alone, and I am glad to see Republicans unified and ready to take back our state.”

“I would like to thank the Maine Republican Party State Committee for their trust in me and my fellow officers to lead our party. Together we will win, we will succeed, and we will take back the Blaine House and put Maine back on track again.”
