Chair Dr. Demi Kouzounas Named RNC Northeast Regional Co-Chair

AUGUSTA – Maine Republican Party Chair, Dr. Demi Kouzounas released the following statement regarding the recent announcement that she has been named RNC Northeast Regional Co-Chair:

“I am incredibly honored to take this new leadership position with the Republican National Committee,” said Chair Dr. Demi Kouzounas. “I look forward to bringing my insight and experience as a state party chair, doctor, veteran and mother to lead the northeast and strengthen our party across our region.”

“Republicans in Maine have built a very strong party and people across the country have taken notice. From re-electing Senator Susan Collins in one of the most difficult races in the country, to delivering back to back victories for President Trump in Maine’s Second Congressional District and gaining ground in the Maine House of Representatives, we have built a party with a strong reputation for success and a field program that has been recognized many times as a national leader. The Maine Republican Party has become a force to reckon with.”

“While I am humbled to be recognized for the work we have done in Maine, the real credit goes to the incredible army of grassroots volunteers and activists who fight every day for conservative values here in Maine. We have had great successes, but we remained focused on the next election and delivering historic wins up and down the ticket, including reclaiming the Governor’s seat.”

BACKGROUND:

As one of four regional co-chairs across the nation, Dr. Kouzounas will lead the northeast and work directly with leaders of the RNC at the national level to assist in many facets of the party’s operations and programs
