Rep. Lyford is serving his third term in the Maine House where he represents the people of House District 129 which includes part of Brewer, Clifton, Eddington, Holden and Veazie.
He currently serves on the Environment and Natural Resources Committee, having served in the past on the Inland, Fisheries and Wildlife Committee in the 128th Legislature.
Rep. Lyford brings practical business experience to Augusta. A graduate of Husson College, he serves as the President and CEO of Peter A. Lyford Inc. a hydroseeding and commercial landscaping business with locations in Gorham and Hermon. He has been appointed to serve on the Inland, Fisheries and Wildlife Committee.
He served as the Chairman of the Land Management Committee, BSA; a member of the Supervisory Committee at the Brewer Federal Credit Union; and a member of the Governor’s Wind Commission.
Rep. Lyford and his wife Marcia live in Eddington where he serves on the town’s selectboard. He is also a member of the Katahdin Corporation.
In his spare time you’ll likely find him hunting, fishing, trapping, bee keeping and enjoying the great Maine outdoors.
