Representative Frances “Fran” Head is serving her third term in the Maine House representing House District 117, which includes the towns of Andover, Bethel, Byron, Eustis, Gilead, Greenwood, Hanover, Lovell (part), Newry, Rangeley, Stoneham, Stow, Upton and Plantations of Coplin, Dallas, Lincoln, Magalloway and Rangeley, plus the unorganized territories of North Franklin, North Oxford, South Oxford (including Albany and Mason Townships), and West Central Franklin.
She served on the Health and Human Services Committee in the 127th and 128th Legislature, and is currently serving on the Joint Standing Committee on State and Local Government.
Representative Head resides in Bethel where she works as a realtor and lives with her husband David. She’s the proud mother of five children.
She is very active in her local community serving on several local committees in the Bethel area including: Bethel Budget Committee, Bethel Comprehensive Committee, Oxford County Soil and Water District, Senior Plus Advisory Committee and serves as Bethel Senior Citizens President.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking and family entertaining.
