Democrats in Augusta are at it again trying to take money out of your paycheck to pay for welfare for non-citizens. The bill, LD 1317, would raid nearly $29 million from programs intended to provide life-saving benefits to struggling citizens in Maine and instead use that money to provide food stamps (SNAP), Medicaid, and TANF programs for non-citizens, including those who have not even filed for asylum.
